Count Pictures
Counting objects means saying one number for each object you see. Point to or touch each object as you count so you never miss one or count one twice. The last number you say is the total.
Worked examples
How many apples are there?
Point to each apple: one, two, three, four, five. The last number is 5 — that's the total.
Answer: 5
How many stars are there?
Count each star: one, two, three. There are 3 stars.
Answer: 3
Tips
