Compare Attributes

We can compare objects by looking at their attributes: length (long/short), height (tall/short), width (wide/narrow), and mass (heavy/light). Compare by looking carefully at the two objects.

Worked examples

Which is longer?

Object A is longer — it stretches further across. Object B is shorter. So A is longer.

Answer: A

Which is heavier?

Object A is heavier — it would press the balance scale down further. Object B is lighter.

Answer: A

Tips

  • Long/short = how far it stretches. Tall/short = how high it reaches.
  • Wide/narrow = how wide across. Heavy/light = how much it weighs.
  • Compare directly — look at which one takes up more space or would feel heavier.
