Different texts do different jobs. STORIES make you imagine and enjoy. RECIPES tell you HOW to cook. SIGNS tell you what to do or where to go. LISTS help you remember. Knowing the type of text helps you read it the right way.

Short words, telling you what to do, found on the road. This is a SIGN.
