Capitalise the Pronoun I
The word 'I' (meaning yourself) is ALWAYS a capital letter — no matter where it is in the sentence. 'i' as a single word is wrong. 'I am happy' is correct.
Worked examples
Fix the mistake: 'mum and i went to the park.'
Two fixes: 'mum' starts the sentence so it needs a capital ('Mum'). And the single word 'i' meaning yourself MUST be capital ('I').
Answer: Mum and I went to the park.
Fix the mistake: 'Today i am five years old.'
The word 'i' meaning yourself is always capital — even in the middle of a sentence. Change 'i' to 'I'.
Answer: Today I am five years old.
