Capitalise the First Letter
The first letter of every sentence is a CAPITAL LETTER (also called an uppercase letter). Capitals are bigger than lowercase letters. They show where a new sentence begins.
Worked examples
Which letter should be capital? — 'the dog ran fast.'
The first letter of any sentence is a capital. So 'the' should be 'The' — capital T. Answer: 'The dog ran fast.'
Answer: T (in 'the')
Find the capital letter mistake: 'my friend is here.'
Every sentence starts with a capital. 'my' should be 'My'. Fix: 'My friend is here.'
Answer: M (in 'my') should be capital
